Coinbase and Circle Announce USDC Stablecoin Tired to the US Dollar

As Tether (USDT) continues to have issues Coinbase has announced they are going to support the Circle created USDC. USD Coin is built on the Ethereum ERC-20 standard so you can receive and send on the Ethereum blockchain. Stablecoins are important in the crypto market since they allow users to trade to a stable currency while the market fluctuates since a lot of markets don’t offer USD pairings.

Major exchanges in addition to Coinbase are supporting USDC like Poloniex and KuCoin. We should see USDC making its way to Coinbase Pro soon as well so you can trade using the new Stablecoin.
